My Vision for Inglewood
Leadership You Can Trust
Inglewood is a city with deep roots, unmatched culture, and extraordinary potential. We are proud of where we come from, but we also know we can do better. For too long, residents have been asked to live with rising costs, outdated systems, limited transparency, and decisions made without their voices at the table.
I am running for Mayor because Inglewood deserves ethical, transparent leadership, modern solutions, and a city government that works for everyone, not just a few.
My vision is clear: an Inglewood that is thriving, inclusive, accountable, and prepared for the future.
Restoring Accountability and Trust in City Government
City Hall should work for the people, not the other way around.
As Mayor, I will:
- Implement term limits for City Council members to ensure fresh ideas, accountability, and leadership that reflects today’s Inglewood, not entrenched interests.
- Move City Council meetings to Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. so working families, parents, and residents can participate in the decisions that affect their lives.
- Strengthen transparency by making city information accessible, understandable, and consistently updated.
Inglewood belongs to all of us. Our government should reflect that.
A Revitalized Market Street: Open, Alive, and Ours
Market Street should once again be the heartbeat of Inglewood.
Under my leadership, Market Street will be:
- Fully activated with open storefronts and locally owned businesses
- A place to shop local, enjoy great food and drinks, play games, and gather with family and friends
- Safe, vibrant, and welcoming day and night
The new Market Street will be economically strong, culturally rich, and unmistakably Inglewood.
Empowering Small Businesses and Local Entrepreneurs
Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. They deserve support, not unnecessary barriers.
I will establish an Inglewood Small Business Hub to:
- Help entrepreneurs navigate permits, licensing, and compliance
- Provide clear, step-by-step guidance for starting and growing a business
- Connect businesses to grants, capital, and funding opportunities
- Support legacy businesses while welcoming new innovation
When small businesses succeed, Inglewood succeeds.
Modernizing Inglewood for 2026 and Beyond
A modern city needs modern systems.
I will lead a full overhaul of the City of Inglewood website to ensure:
- Functional, user-friendly, and regularly updated pages
- Online access to city services
- The ability to pay city fees online
- No more broken links or outdated information
City government should be as efficient and capable as the people who live here.
Protecting Our Neighborhoods and Quality of Life
I will put residents first by:
- Repealing the city’s short-term rental program, which has disrupted neighborhoods and added unnecessary fees and oversight
- Prohibiting alcohol, tobacco, and gambling advertisements on city digital billboards, especially near schools and residential areas
- Expanding bike lanes and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure to create safer, healthier streets
Our neighborhoods deserve protection, not constant disruption.
Investing in Our Youth and Our Future
Our young people are not just the future. They are the present.
I will launch a Youth Leadership Program to:
- Build leadership and civic engagement skills
- Provide mentorship and real-world experience
- Prepare Inglewood youth to become future leaders, professionals, and public servants
I will also actively support the Inglewood Unified School District in:
- Ending receivership
- Regaining full local control
- Ensuring our children receive a high-quality education right here at home
Ending Police Brutality and Protecting Civil Rights
Inglewood is a proud, diverse, and historically Black city. Our residents deserve to feel safe from crime and from abuse of power.
As Mayor, ending police brutality will be a priority, not a slogan. I will:
- Strengthen accountability, transparency, and independent oversight
- Incentivize the hiring of officers who live in Inglewood
- Establish clear standards for use of force
- Support training focused on de-escalation, cultural competency, and community engagement
- Center the voices of residents most impacted by over-policing and misconduct
Public safety and civil rights are not competing values. We must have both.
Protecting Our Immigrant Communities
Inglewood is home to immigrants and mixed-status families who contribute every day to our city’s strength and culture. They deserve to live without fear.
As Mayor, I will:
- Uphold and strengthen sanctuary protections
- Ensure city resources are never used to assist federal immigration enforcement
- Protect residents from unlawful detention or cooperation agreements that undermine trust
- Make it clear that all residents can access city services, report crimes, and live safely regardless of immigration status
Trust between residents and their city government is essential to public safety.
Addressing Homelessness with Compassion and Action
Homelessness is not just a crisis. It is a moral responsibility.
I will dedicate funding in the city budget for:
- Mental health services
- Housing and supportive programs
- Long-term solutions that address root causes, not just symptoms
We can be compassionate and effective at the same time.
Protecting Our Environment and Public Health
Our community’s health is non-negotiable.
I will ensure:
- Full compliance with environmental laws and required studies for all development projects
- No bypassing environmental reviews
- No placing profit over people
Under my leadership, environmental shortcuts will end, and residents will never be put at risk for rushed development.
An Inglewood That Works for Everyone
My administration will be guided by:
- Ethical leadership
- Community-first policies
- Fiscal responsibility
- Real results, not political theater
Together, we will build an Inglewood that honors its history, serves its present, and prepares boldly for the future.
This is my vision.
This is our city.
And together, we will move Inglewood forward.
