My Vision for Inglewood

Leadership Inglewood Can Trust

Inglewood is a city with deep roots, unmatched culture, and unlimited potential. But for too long, our community has been asked to accept rising costs, outdated systems, closed-door decision-making, and missed opportunities. I am running for Mayor because Inglewood deserves ethical and transparent leadership, modern solutions, and a government that truly works for its people.

My vision is simple: an Inglewood that is thriving, inclusive, accountable, and prepared for the future.

Ending Police Brutality & Protecting Civil Rights in Inglewood

From chattel slavery and civil rights marches

For Black Americans, the fight against police brutality is not new, it is a continuation of a struggle that has spanned generations. From chattel slavery, civil rights marches, to today’s calls for accountability, Black communities have long demanded what every person deserves: to be treated with dignity, fairness, and humanity.

Inglewood is a proud, diverse, and historically Black city. Our residents deserve to feel safe not only from crime, but from abuse of power. Under my leadership, ending police brutality in Inglewood will be a priority, not a slogan.

  • I will work to:
    • Strengthen accountability, transparency, and oversight in policing
    • Incentivize and Hire police officers who reside in Inglewood
    • Ensure clear standards for use of force
    • Support training rooted in de-escalation, cultural competency, and community engagement
    • Center the voices of residents most impacted by over-policing and misconduct

Public safety and civil rights are not opposing values. We can and Must have both.

Protecting Our Immigrant Communities

Inglewood is home to immigrants, mixed-status families, and communities who contribute daily to the life and economy of our city. They deserve to live without fear.

I do not support Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and under my administration, ICE will not be allowed to operate in Inglewood.

  • As Mayor, I will:
    • Uphold and strengthen sanctuary protections
    • Ensure city resources are never used to assist federal immigration enforcement
    • Protect residents from unlawful detention, harassment, or cooperation agreements that undermine trust
    • Make clear that Inglewood is a city where all families, regardless of immigration status, can access city services, report crimes, and live without fear

When residents are afraid of their government, public safety suffers. Trust is essential, and trust begins with knowing your city is on your side.

A City Where Everyone Is Safe, Seen, and Respected

Ending police brutality and rejecting harmful immigration enforcement practices is about more than policy, it’s about values.

My vision for Inglewood is a city where:

  • No one is targeted because of their race
  • No family lives in fear of separation
  • Law enforcement is accountable to the people
  • Human dignity is non-negotiable

This is how we build a safer, stronger Inglewood for everyone.

Restoring Accountability & Trust in City Government

Inglewood should never feel like it belongs to a few. It belongs to all of us.

  • I will implement term limits for City Council members, ensuring fresh ideas, accountability, and leadership that reflects the will of today’s residents, not entrenched interests.
  • I will move City Council meetings to Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m., so working families, parents, and everyday residents can participate in the decisions that affect their lives.
  • I will strengthen transparency by making city information accessible, understandable, and up to date.

A Revitalized Market Street — Open, Alive, and Ours

Market Street should be the heartbeat of Inglewood again.

Under my leadership:

  • Every storefront on Market Street will be open, filled with unique, locally owned businesses
  • Market Street will be a place where you can:
    • Shop local
    • Enjoy great food and drinks
    • Play games
    • Gather with friends and family
    • Experience a vibrant, safe, and welcoming atmosphere

The New Market Street will be a destination that is economically strong, culturally rich, and unmistakably Inglewood.

Empowering Small Businesses & Local Entrepreneurs

Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy and they deserve real support, not red tape.

I will create an Inglewood Small Business Hub, dedicated to:

  • Helping entrepreneurs with legal paperwork and compliance
  • Providing step-by-step guidance for permits and licensing
  • Connecting businesses to financial grants and funding opportunities
  • Supporting legacy businesses while welcoming new innovation

When small businesses succeed, Inglewood succeeds.

Modernizing Inglewood for 2026 and Beyond

A modern city needs modern systems.

  • I will fully overhaul the City of Inglewood website, ensuring:
    • Functional, updated, and user-friendly pages
    • Online access to city services
    • The ability for residents to pay city fees online
  • No more broken links. No more outdated information.
  • Our city should work as efficiently as the people who live here.

Protecting Our Neighborhoods & Quality of Life

  • I will repeal the City’s short-term rental program, which has invaded the privacy of our residents and created more unnecessary fees and oversight.
  • I will implement policies prohibiting alcohol and gambling advertisements on the City’s digital billboards, especially near schools and residential areas.
  • I will expand bike lanes and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, making our streets safer and healthier for everyone.

Investing in Our Youth & Our Future

Our young people are not just the future, they are the present.

  • I will launch a Youth Leadership Program to:
    • Help our youth develop leadership skills
    • Provide mentorship and civic education
    • Prepare Inglewood youth to become future leaders, professionals, and public servants
  • I will actively support the Inglewood Unified School District in:
    • Ending receivership
    • Regaining full local control
    • Ensuring our children receive the education they deserve, right here at home

Addressing Homelessness and Our Most Vulnerable Residents with Compassion & Action

Homelessness is not just a crisis, it’s a moral responsibility.

  • I will earmark funds in the city budget specifically for:
    • Social service programs
    • Mental health and housing support
    • Long-term solutions that address root causes, not just symptoms

We can be both compassionate and effective.

Protecting Our Environment & Public Health

Our community’s health is non-negotiable.

  • I will ensure full compliance with environmental laws and studies for all project development in Inglewood
  • No more bypassing required environmental reviews
  • No more placing profit over people

Under my leadership, environmental shortcuts will end, and Inglewood residents will never be put at risk for the sake of rushed development again.

An Inglewood That Works for Everyone

My administration will focus on:

  • Ethical leadership
  • Community-first policies
  • Fiscal responsibility
  • Real results, not political theater

Together, we will build an Inglewood that honors its history, protects its residents, and prepares boldly for the future.

This is my vision.
This is our city.
And together, we will move Inglewood forward.
